Concerning the My EUscreen functionality: We’re currently developing the My EUscreen environment, still, and we will give notice when it’s fully functional at a later date.
Concerning the playout problems: Please be so kind as to indicate what videos you’re experiencing issues with, so we can check what is going on in the background.

doesn't work in firefox
the real contents is never shown: i just see the small bars which indicate that it's still busy
7 votesDear D, last week we experienced some server problems that should have been solved. EUscreen is platform-independent but the videos do work in flash only. Could you take another look to see if everything’s working now? Kind regards, Erwin.

What about adding transcribed subtitles like on Youtube ?
As you can find on YouTube (at least in English) what about adding transcribed subtitles not every one can speak all European languages ?

Hire a new translator for the Dutch to English translations for program descriptions
The English translations of the Dutch descriptions of Dutch programs are horrible. Google Translate would do a better job!

It would be nice to provide language specific url's for the homepage.
It would be nice to provide language specific url's for the homepage (like euscreen.eu/nl, euscreen.eu/de, euscreen.eu/fr, ...) to make it possible to link to or to save a specific language version as a favorit without having to pass everytime by the default English homepage and having to use the language selector.

Dear Anonymous,
thank you for your feedback. I’ve tested the site in Firefox on a Ubuntu machine and saw no problems. The portal uses flash technology to display the video items – it might be possible that you need to install third-party software in order to play out these Flash videos on your computer. Could this be the case?

Item type Part/Extract: why not the full length ?
Although you access an item with let say 10 min long, you discover, when you hit the play button a shorter one WHY? It's because of your policy or the source ?

Incomplete geographic coverage list
Geographic coverage names are only listed until "Croatia" in the filter list on the search page at the right

Quite a few British parties are involved in the EUscreen project (see http://www.euscreen.eu/partners.html) and as the collection is growing, we are looking forward to ingesting historic materials from the BBC soon.
